The purpose of this paper is to introduce the theory from which this bold hypothesis is derived by considering the theory's empirical basis and some of its concepts and implications. Maharishi's theory of creativity is part of a larger paradigm called the Science of Creative Intelligence (SCI). said to be the theoretical explanation of the process behind the TM and TM-Sidhi programs and their results (J\\aharishi. J 972). The TM program has become well known as a simple mental procedure leading to a state of deep rest and the experience of "pure awareness." The latter has been described as awareness .I( by itself. without thoughts. feelings or perceptions (Maharishi. 1968); a state of very high coherence in the nervous system (Grme-Johnson, 1977a); a "mental state of least excitation" comparable to the ground state described by TI - An Introduction to Maharishi's Theory of Creativity: Its Empirical Base and Description or the Creative Process JF - The Journal of Creative Behavior DO - 10.1002/j.2162-6057.1982.tb00320.x DA - 1982-03-01 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/wiley/an-introduction-to-maharishi-s-theory-of-creativity-its-empirical-base-0norWrkpAO SP - 29 VL - 16 IS - 1 DP - DeepDyve ER -
