AB - AFTER a somewhat long delay, the second and concluding part of this work has appeared, and may be cordially welcomed. Like the first, it follows the system of Engler, but in a general and not in any very close manner, and with considerable alterations in the system that many will think to be great improvements, especially from the point of view of practical usefulness in the study of systematic botany-the purpose for which the work is chiefly designed.
