AB - THE CONCEPT OF STRESS Several decades ago Grinker and Spiegal (1945) published a significant work, Men Under Stress, which was a clinical study and analysis of psychopathological reactions in airmen. This study did much to help establish stress, which is still a rather misunderstood concept, as a part of almost everyone’s vocabulary-mental health professionals as well as laypersons.
