Thus, questions about how each would work as part of a treatment team, and the practical issues involved in their solo or concurrent treatment, are not fully explicated. Addressing these criticd concerns would help students get a better grasp of the relationship between individual psychotherapy and structured interventions, treatment, relapse prevention, and treatment evaluation. In conclusion, Cornpararive Treatments of Substance Abuse provides im- portant theoretical and clinical information that will be of great use to psychotherapy students, particularly those at the graduate level. It will make . an excellent companion resource to many specific chemical dependence treatment texts because it provides a variety of theories that are clearly linked to
