TY - JOUR AU1 - Feltenberger, Bruce AB - This article introduces the Feltenberger Pendulum, a gravity‐assisted power (GAP) machine that uses the force of gravity to help provide the power needed to operate various types of machinery and that can be applied to the generation of electricity, drilling of wells, and the desalinization/filtration of water. The first commercially available GAP machine is a hand‐operated water pump and filtration system that needs no fuel or electricity. This version of the GAP machine was designed to pump surface water by suctioning, and the pump can lift water approximately 25 feet from the water source to the pump. The pendulum pump has four settings that adjust the volume and/or pressure of the water being pumped. The optional Aquathin water filtration system supplied with the pump, known as AquaShield, contains a patented antimicrobial membrane that kills harmful bacteria and viruses in the water without the need for chemical dosing systems or ultraviolet radiation. Combined with the optional Aquathin filtration system, the Feltenberger GAP pump becomes a complete hand‐operated water treatment facility capable of producing 1,000 gallons of safe drinking water per hour.
