TY - JOUR AU - AB - Abstract Introduces the main issues that have arisen in the debate over the decline in class voting over the last 40 years. Of particular concern are how relevant theories are specified and tested, the measurement of parties, and the measurement of classes, and how the relationships between these are represented statistically. Emphasis is placed on the use of the Erikson–Goldthorpe Class Schema in preference to simpler two‐class models of society. The logic and goals of the book are described, and comparisons are drawn with other significant work in this area. JF - The End of Class Politics?
