AB - <jats:p> 84 female Ss were given the I-E Control Scale and a modified form of Thurstone's word fluency (W) test in counterbalanced order. Ss were classified as “Internals” or “Externals” by division at the median. As hypothesized, the mean fluency scores of Internals were significantly higher than those of Externals for each minute of work. Neither the order variable nor any of the interactions were significant. </jats:p>
