AB - Reports an error in the original article by A. Rabin and W. Guertin (Psychological Bulletin, 1951[May], 48, 211-248). In this paper, the authors made reference to Dr. Kutash's work in an unfavorable light and here they explain the context that their criticisms should be taken in.  The validity of the test as a measure of general intelligence is no longer questioned; in fact, it serves as a reference criterion. There has been a marked increase in the use of the test as a diagnostic instrument on the hypothesis that, "the several intellectual factors measured by the test are differentially affected by a variety of emotional, psychiatric and neurological conditions." With such use, certain deficiencies in test structure merit attention. 145-item bibliography.
