AB - The APL version of TAILOR allows administration of individual tailored tests without the usual need for extensive pretesting to establish item characteristics. Information gathered from each examinee is added to a cumulative file to determine reliable order relations among persons and items. Given adequately discriminating items, substantial tailoring can occur after as few as a half-dozen tests.
