MOSELEY President and Chief Executive Officer, Academy for Educational Development AED is very pleased to be one of the sponsors of this event to celebrate the 40-year anniversary of the publication of Ev Rogers’ landmark book, Diffusion of Innovations, now in its fourth edition. ‘‘Diffusion of Innovations’’ has been a tremendously influential theory for all of us working to bring about social change, as we have seen in this morning’s presentations. It is hard to believe that the first edition of this book was published in 1962. I am particularly impressed by that date because I have always thought of Ev Rogers as being eternally young, and even, on occasion, I have thought that he has got to be younger than I am. Yet in 1962, I know I was a senior in high school, and, following that logic, Ev must have started writing this book when he was a freshman in high school.
