In a second article, Royston (2005) described ice, an upgrade incorporating various improvements and changes to the software based on personal experience, dis- cussion with colleagues, and user requests. This article describes an update to ice. The changes are less substantial but nevertheless important enough to warrant a brief explanation. The major modi cation is that the default method of imputing missing values in ice is now by sampling from the posterior predictive distribution rather than by predicted mean matching. The ice system comprises ve ado- les: ice, micombine, mijoin, misplit, and uvis. The last three programs have not been changed and are included in the present release for the sake of completeness. 2 Syntax ice mainvarlist using lename if in weight , boot (varlist) cc(ccvarlist) cmd(cmdlist) cycles(#) dryrun eq(eqlist) genmiss(string) id(string) m(#) match (varlist) on(varlist) noconstant noshoweq passive(passivelist) replace seed(#) TI - Multiple Imputation of Missing Values: Update of Ice JF - "Stata Journal, The" DO - 10.1177/1536867X0500500404 DA - 2005-12-01 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/sage/multiple-imputation-of-missing-values-update-of-ice-U1sHUPZVz6 SP - 527 EP - 536 VL - 5 IS - 4 DP - DeepDyve ER -
