TY - JOUR AU - Anderson, John E. AB - Reviews the book Rebel Without a Cause: The Hypnoanalysis of a Criminal Psychopath by R. M. Lindner . Two hundred and fifty-nine of the 289 pages of text are the actual stenographic results of the psychoanalysis of Harold, who is psychiatrically diagnosed as a psychopathic personality and who is heavily sentenced to the penitentiary for a serious crime. The first and second chapters discuss respectively the problem of criminal psychopathy and the author's method employed in its study. With the exception of a short summary chapter the remainder of the book is given over to the analysis record with occasional interpolated remarks by the author.
