THE CAREER DEVELOPMENT QUARTERLY / MARCH 1988/ VOL. 36 be helpful in determining the need for additional counseling and other services for clients to supplement the information obtained from the SClI. METHOD Assessment We used the Career Planning Survey (CPS) to assess the concerns of clients who were assigned the SClI. This instrument lists 23 concerns that previous clients have presented to counselors as issues that they would like to consider in career counseling (johnson, Branwen, & Hoese, 1984). Its primary purpose is to help the counselor and the client to identify concerns that may need to be addressed as part of the counseling process. Each item or concern is considered separately for this purpose. It is not a standardized instrument with scale scores such as the Career Decision Scale (Osipow, Carney, Winer, Yanico, & Koschier, 1980) or My Vocational Situation (Holland, Daiger, & Power, 1980), but rather a checklist that may serve as TI - Career Planning Concerns of SCII Clients JF - The Career Development Quarterly DO - 10.1002/j.2161-0045.1988.tb00493.x DA - 1988-03-01 UR - https://www.deepdyve.com/lp/wiley/career-planning-concerns-of-scii-clients-WSjl4eNcKU SP - 251 VL - 36 IS - 3 DP - DeepDyve ER -
