AB - This articlepresents a theoretical integration of a number of recent important contributionsto the psychological intervention literature as they relate to consultation.This synthesis is described under the rubric of Functional Outcome Analysis(FOA) and is organized around an examination of classroom resources. Variousmethods of assessing intervention costs and benefits, as well as theirdistribution, are described. The quantification of intervention efficiency andthe potential relationship between efficiency, treatment integrity, treatmentacceptability, social validity, and ecological validity are described.
