TY - JOUR AU1 - Siege, Julie AB - he stage is silent, dim and empty. It seems to be cautiously taking a breath in wake of the maelstrom that just passed over it. In a cacophony of music, bodies, sound, and color, the little space has been assaulted with the oddest permutations of life possible to twisted imagination: a slow motion collision that began with a man, a woman, and a wink, burgeoned to involve six people, a mop, a toilet seat, and a jello mold: spaghetti has been launched from a catapult; two men opened suitcases that seemed to contain the wind, and blandly sent feathers, ribbons, toilet paper, and soap bubbles sailing through the air; the audience has done the wave; and, finally, a grotesque group of, well, people, t h o u g h not t h e s o r t you'd e n c o u n t e r outside of hallucination or dreams, have come in for some milk - one glass, six straws. Now, from the back of this stage, which seems to be awash in the impossibly romantic a n d eerie glow of moonlight, two men approach, silent and poised.
