The structuring of events: outline of a general theory with applications to psychology

The structuring of events: outline of a general theory with applications to psychology It is held that when the universal question of structure in nature arises, it is necessary to look to a different type of law than the quantitative and covariational variety as they are traditionally conceived. To this end, a conceptual model of the structuring of ongoings and events is presented and illustrated in the field of behavior. Psychological issues upon which the model is shown to bear are the nature of psychological organization, motivation, learning, perception, and their interrelationship, the continuity-versus-discontinuity controversy, facilitation and inhibition, and the energies of attitudes. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Psychological Review American Psychological Association

Abstract

It is held that when the universal question of structure in nature arises, it is necessary to look to a different type of law than the quantitative and covariational variety as they are traditionally conceived.
