"In an attempt to investigate the relations between abstract reasoning ability, ethnocentrism, and "intolerance of ambiguity', a test of syllogistic reasoning together with attitude scales measuring ethnocentrism and "intolerance of ambiguity' were filled out anonymously by 57 students in a classroom setting. The results indicate that: (1) ethnocentrism is positively associated with "intolerance of ambiguity,' (2) ethnocentrism is related to a poor ability to reason abstractly."
