Discusses the concept of the psychic factor. "Psychic' consists of states of consciousness, of sensations or feelings, which are concomitant in all definite organic reactions. A psychic event is then a subjective aspect of certain physiological reactions. However, such organic reactions may be mediated only under specific conditions. Not all stimuli are adapted to induce the organic reactions requisite to a psychic act. Thus, psychic consists in the synthesis of 2 or more stimuli into a simultaneous unitary reaction. Conscious state or psychic is the concomitant reaction or mode subjectively experienced when there occurs a unitary physiological reaction compounded of separate sense impressions.
