Thymosin-beta4 inhibits corneal epithelial cell apoptosis after ethanol exposure in vitro.

Thymosin-beta4 inhibits corneal epithelial cell apoptosis after ethanol exposure in vitro. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of thymosin beta 4 (Tbeta(4)) treatment on human corneal epithelial cells exposed to ethanol in vitro. The efficacy of Tbeta(4) in preventing mitochondrial disruption and in inhibiting caspase-mediated apoptosis was examined. http://www.deepdyve.com/assets/images/DeepDyve-Logo-lg.png Investigative ophthalmology & visual science Pubmed
